Multi-purpose grease

Multi-purpose grease is a general-purpose lubricant for protecting and lubricating bearings, seals, and moving parts under varying loads. Würth’s range has four grades. Multi-purpose grease I is a universal lithium-saponified grease for sliding and rolling bearings under normal loads. Multi-purpose grease II is a lithium-soap graphite grease with EP (extreme pressure) additives for medium and heavy loads. Multi-purpose grease III is colourless and physiologically inert, suited to areas where food is processed or stored. Multi-purpose grease IV is a synthetic high-performance grease, NSF H1-registered and meeting USDA 1998 H1 requirements, for food-contact areas. Choosing the right grade is crucial, since load, environment, and food-contact needs differ between jobs. Greases come in plastic cartridges that stop oil seeping out at high temperature, so store them upright in a cool, dry place.
