Ideal power transmission thanks to RW drive
- More power due to larger contact area at the bit
- More stability, one-handed working, precise positioning due to the tight-fit recess and perfect fit of the bit
- Fewer bit changes, 1 bit for many screw diameters
- Compatibility with previous AW drive
Flat fastening of sheet metal onto substrate for secondary purposes
- Flat, cylindrical pan head rounded with a lens
- Large surface contact area
No over-tightening or stripping and high feed
- Higher power transmission in hardwoods due to reinforced, asymmetrical thread flank geometry of the coarse thread
- Better anchorage thanks to higher thread flanks
Smooth thread start ensures optimised recessing and biting of the screw
- Minimum splitting thanks to displacement effect of the dome-shaped milling elements in the tip
- Friction-reduced thread rotation allows reduction of the screw-in force to be applied
- We recommend using the Würth software or the corresponding design aids for planning and dimensioning your assembly. Dimensioning the ASSY screws can be carried out in the Würth timber construction software from a dia. of 5 mm
- ASSY 4, ASSYplus 4 and ASSYplus 4 VG chipboard screws are optimised for use in timber and engineered wood. For applications in plastic anchors where the load can also be reduced, use only screws without an optimised thread tip (tip with milling ribs, drill tip, self-clearing groove etc.), such as the ASSY D screws with countersunk head or pan head

For wood-wood connections designed to pull together
The partial thread starting immediately below the shank allows for wood-wood connections designed to pull together. The screw thread is positioned entirely in the lower component once screwed in.
Can be used for outdoor applications and utilisation class 3
- ASSY screws are approved for quasi-static loads
- For optimum use of the screw, use the exact fitting RW bit
- Partial-thread screws are ideal for connecting wood-wood structures. In order to achieve the best possible component assembly, the thickness of the component to be mounted must not be greater than the length of the shank
- For long screws arranged in a cross shape or in a screw block with narrow edge clearances, it is advisable to drill pilot holes or use a screw-in aid to avoid intersecting of the screws
