The multi-purpose stepped drill bit with AlCrN coating and unique SMART STEP technology for high-precision, flexible use in sheet metal and now also for thicker workpieces made of conventional steel with a strength of up to 1300 N/mm², cast iron, aluminium, brass, bronze, Plexiglas, plastic and wood. Available in the ORSY® system cassette.

Precise circular holes

No tool changes and shorter machining times

  • Eliminates predrilling with smaller twist drill bits, precise tap without the bit running-out of centre

  • Saves extra deburring, as the next larger step diameter performs this function

  • Combines numerous bore diameters in a single tool

  • Very fast tap and faster drilling process due to four high-performance blades and SMART STEP technology

Flexible, “smart” use

  • Now also suitable for 10 mm strong material thickness (compared to conventional step drill bits, which are limited to 4 mm material thickness on sheet metal)

  • For use in cordless drills as well as on hand-held, pillar, and upright drills.

  • Compared to using core drill bits with magnetic core drills, there are no problems with hard-to-reach places (e.g. on T-beams) or problems due to insufficient adhesive forces

Very comfortable drilling

  • Drilling with less strain

  • Completely smooth running without getting caught in the workpiece

  • No sheet metal distortion

  • Simple re-drilling or enlarging of an existing drill hole

  • Reduced force exerted on the tool during the drilling process

AlCrN multi-layer wear protection coating

  • Extremely high temperature resistance of up to 1050° C

  • Very high coating hardness of 3000 HV

  • Multilayer construction for optimum chip removal and improved cutting properties (prevents material wear)

3-face shank

Prevents turning in the drill chuck, ensures optimal power transmission and protects the drill chuck from damage

ORSY® system compatible, compact and practical system cassette with useful details, such as stackability, optimised joint, and easy opening

Instructions
  • Ensure that there is sufficient cooling/lubrication

  • Make sure that the feed is even

  • Observe the rotation speed table

  • Do not push during core drilling – the stepped drill bit will automatically retract into the sheet metal

  • Pay attention to the total length of the stepped drill bit during drilling

The packaging unit defines the number of articles in one packaging. In the catalog segment you can choose from different packaging units if a pop-up menu is displayed.

Just leave the field empty if you don't know the packaging unit when directly entering the article number in the shopping basket or when importing with Easy-/VarioScan. The packaging unit will be determined automatically.
The article number is made up of the following: VVVVAAABBB
VVVV = 4 digits for prefix number (please note that the first digit is currently always 0)
AAA = 3 digits for dimension part 1
BBB = 3 digits for dimension part 2

Example article number structures:
Example 1: Screw with dimensions of 4x10 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
00574 10 (2 spaces between the 4 and the 10)

Example 2: Screw with dimensions of 10x20 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
005710 20 (1 space between the 10 and the 20)

Example 3: Flat washer with an internal diameter of 6 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
04076
Price per packaging unit (PU):
The displayed price is always in line with the displayed packaging, if the PU is 250 the price for 250 units, if the PU is 300 the price for 300 units.

Price with price key representation (PSL):
The price always applies to a quantity ruled through the price key:
Price for 1 unit
Price for 100 units
Price for 1000 units
The quantity shows the number of pieces or units of measure contained in the order or delivery for the respective article.
In contrast to sales packaging and secondary packaging, the disposal costs for chemical-technical products are shown separately. The breakdown of the individual costs can be found on the relevant products and also in the shopping cart, as well as in our General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
